Bigbasket warehouse

In a post dated 24 May 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Bigbasket warehouse, Masjid Banda, Kondapur, on 23 May 2024 and said its licence was suspended. Its findings are quoted below.

The authority's words “In view of the above violations, notice has been issued and the license for the warehouse has been suspended until further orders.”

  “Expired chicken masala, chicken sausages, Pizza cheese, Paneer, Icecreams and Almond fudge (expiry dates range from Oct-2023 to Apr-2024) found.”

  “Found edible oil leaking and contaminating other food articles on lower rack.”

  “Found milk bottles(10), thickshake bottles(5), sting tin bottles(50) kept not as per the storage conditions of manufacturer.”
