Golden Dragon Restaurant

In a post dated 19 December 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Golden Dragon Restaurant, Parklane, Secunderabad, on 18 December 2024 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

• Records and certificates

  “Water analysis reports, Employee Health Records and Fostac certificates of employees were not provided.”

• Colours and additives

  “Synthetic food colors were found and discarded on suspicion of use in prepared food articles.”

• Expired stock

  “Raw Chicken (8 Kg) found expired on 15.12.2024 and Leg boneless (2 Kg) found to be expired on 17.12.2024.”

• Labelling

  “Unlabelled Noodles packs (32 Kg) were found and seized.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Kitchen floor was found to be slippery with food waste. Drains in the kitchen found to be clogged with food waste.”

• Food handlers

  “Food handlers found without aprons, hair caps, gloves etc.”

• Pests

  “Windows are not fitted with insect proof screens”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Refrigerators were found to be unhygienic and food items were unlabelled. Veg and Non Veg Food articles were stored together in refrigerator.”
